Experienced Security Officer

Responsibilities

• Conflict resolution and de-escalation
• Frequent interactions with client employees and guests
• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or any suspicious activity
• Ensure all post orders are followed and assigned rounds are completed
• Provide customer service and information to the client’s employees and guests
• Utilize technology devices throughout shift
• Conduct tours of the property
• Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age to qualify for a PERC Security Officer License in the State of Illinois
• High School Diploma or GED (or willingness to complete the GED program within six months)
• Above-average computer/technology skills
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to remain calm and professional during stressful situations
• Great attention to detail and vigilance throughout shift
• Professional demeanor
• Ability to respond to emergencies with rapid/effective judgment and use appropriate escalation
• Valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record (position includes driver certification)
• Reliable transportation (private transportation required; public transportation is not available)
• Reliable communication device (cell phone)
• Legal right to work in the United States
• Ability to speak, read, and write English

Conflict resolution and de-escalation skills are a plus.

Pay

$18.50 per hour

Schedule

• Full-time
• Must have availability for both 1st and 2nd shifts
• Required availability on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and most holidays
