Experienced RV Service Technician
About the role
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Experienced RV Technician to join our dynamic service team. In this role, you will independently diagnose, service, and repair a wide range of RV systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliances, and chassis components. Your technical expertise and attention to detail will play a key role in ensuring customer satisfaction, shop efficiency, and overall service quality.
Key Objectives
- Lead complex diagnostics and repairs to ensure timely and accurate service on a wide range of RV makes and models.
- Support service department performance by mentoring junior technicians and contributing to a collaborative, high‑quality work environment.
- Maintain a high standard of workmanship that enhances customer satisfaction and promotes repeat business.
Responsibilities
- Inspect units for customer sales.
- Learn and execute a Get Ready and customer orientation.
- Diagnose and repair RV systems including, but not limited to, electric (AC/DC), plumbing, propane, appliances, HVAC, chassis, and structural components.
- Install aftermarket accessories such as solar panels, satellite systems, leveling jacks, hitches, and awnings.
- Complete pre‑delivery inspections (PDI) and prepare units for customer delivery.
- Maintain accurate service records, parts usage, and time tracking.
- Provide guidance and on‑the‑job training to entry‑level and mid‑level technicians.
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and dealership standards.
- Keep workspace organized, clean, and stocked with essential tools and materials.
Requirements
- 4+ years of hands‑on RV repair or related mechanical/electrical experience.
- Strong working knowledge of RV systems, components, and repair procedures.
- RVTI certification.
- Ability to work independently and as a team leader.
- Personal set of tools.
- Physical ability to stand, stoop, crawl, and bend for long periods.
- Ability to lift 25–50 lb with an assistive device.
- Comfort working in environments that include heat, cold, dust, and loud noises.
- Flexibility with work schedules; including Saturdays (we are always closed on Sundays).
- Neat, clean, and professional appearance.
- Ability to pass a background and drug test.
- Demonstrated alignment with the company’s vision, mission, and core values.
