Experienced Roadway Engineer

Responsibilities

• Performing roadway design from feasibility studies through final design
• Developing plans, specifications, and estimates for a wide range of transportation improvement projects
• Producing roadway alignments, profiles, typical sections, cross sections, and 3D models
• Preparing quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and design reports
• Producing and reviewing plan sets and associated design documents
• Utilizing MicroStation and InRoads/ OpenRoads Designer (ORD), AutoCAD Civil 3D for design, modeling and plans production
• Participating in design meetings and coordinating with project team members
• Serving as roadway task or project lead, as needed

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited college or university
• At least 4 years of relevant roadway design experience
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required
• Maryland PE or ability to obtain within 6 months of start date

Qualifications

• MicroStation and Bentley InRoads/ OpenRoads Designer (ORD) experience
• Experience with technical aspects of Roadway Design
• Experience with MDOT policies and procedures
• Experience with MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Project)
• Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills

Pay

Salary Range: $91,000-$120,000 (annual)
