Experienced Registered Nurse Neurology Telemetry Unit

About the Role

This Registered Nurse (RN) position is for full-time roles on the Neuro Telemetry unit at MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center.

The unit is a 48-bed neurological-telemetry/medical-surgical unit with all private rooms, including 20 telemetry beds. The unit cares for patients with neurological conditions such as stroke, seizure, brain mass, neuro-surgical issues, and demyelinating diseases, as well as a med-surg population with a focus on respiratory needs.

Positions are available for straight shifts (either day or night), consisting of three 12-hour shifts per week with every third weekend scheduled.

Responsibilities

As a Clinical Nurse, you will:

• Provide skilled, compassionate care to patients and families across a spectrum of needs—from routine to highly complex.
• Assess evolving patient conditions and identify actual and potential health concerns.
• Develop appropriate care plans.
• Deliver interventions directly or coordinate them through collaboration with other members of the nursing team.

Requirements

• ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required.
• Active MD RN License or Active Compact State RN License required.
• Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (AHA or American Red Cross) required.
• Prior clinical nursing experience preferred.

Pay

This position has a hiring range of USD $38.14 - USD $60.34 per hour.
