Experienced Registered Nurse- Klarman 8- Cardiac Intermediate Care- 24hr Rotating

About the role

The 32-bed intermediate-care cardiac unit on Klarman 8 focuses on advanced heart failure therapies. We seek candidates interested in supporting this patient population through advanced training and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct care to patients and makes necessary nursing judgments.
• Systematically assesses health care needs and formulates a care plan, implementing and evaluating it.
• Demonstrates decision-making ability by integrating theoretical knowledge with practical experience.
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary care team to develop comprehensive patient-centered treatment plans.
• Works in a collegial and collaborative relationship with other health professionals.
• Maintains relationships with patients and families, maintaining trust and respect.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, and medical center staff.
• Maintains annual mandatory education requirements, including emergency skills and unit-based competencies.
• Identifies needs for continued growth and development and participates in professional development activities.

• Acts as a patient advocate.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program required.
• Baccalaureate degree in Nursing strongly preferred.
• Experience: 1-3 years related work experience required.

Qualifications

• Licenses/Certifications:
  • Registered Nurse required.
  • American Heart Association – Basic Life Support Certificate required.

• Physical Requirements: Medium work, exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and up to 20 pounds of force frequently, standing, bending, twisting, lifting up to 50 lbs, pushing/pulling items weighing up to 50 lbs, keyboard use, reaching-above shoulder height, reaching-below shoulder height, crouching for >5 minutes, fine manipulation using both hands, power grasping using both hands, push a wheelchair or wheeled bed containing a patient weighing up to 250 lbs with assistance.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $98.19 per hour. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, including seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
