Experienced principal blockchain engineer with payment and exchange building experience

Qualifications

• Technical Skills and Experience:
  • Blockchain Development Experience
  • Proficiency in building decentralized applications (dApps) and smart contracts on blockchain platforms like Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain, or Solana.
  • Deep understanding of cryptocurrency protocols, blockchain consensus mechanisms, and token economics.
  • Expertise in languages commonly used in blockchain development such as Solidity, Rust, JavaScript (Node.js), Python, or Go.
  • Smart Contract Development: Extensive experience designing, deploying, and auditing secure and efficient smart contracts.
  • Familiarity with smart contract auditing tools to ensure code security (e.g., tools like Mythril, Slither).
  • Cryptocurrency Wallet and Payment Integration: Experience with integrating cryptocurrency wallets (MetaMask, Trust Wallet, etc.) and managing crypto payments securely on a platform.
  • Familiarity with working on wallet development, multi-sig wallets, and secure transaction management.
  • Security and Cryptography: In-depth knowledge of cryptographic principles (hash functions, public-key cryptography, etc.) to ensure secure transactions.
  • Familiarity with blockchain security best practices, including protection against attacks (51% attacks, replay attacks, double-spending, etc.).
  • Scalability Solutions: Knowledge of Layer 2 scaling solutions (e.g., Optimistic Rollups, zk-Rollups, sidechains) to ensure the gambling platform can handle a high volume of micro-transactions efficiently.
  • Experience with APIs and Backend Integration: Proficient in integrating third-party blockchain tools or SDKs and off-the-shelf backend solutions.
  • Experience working with APIs to interact with gambling or financial platforms, and with backend development using frameworks like Django or Express.js.
• Professional Experience: 5+ years of experience in blockchain development, ideally with experience in cryptocurrency payment systems or gambling/betting platforms.
• Proven track record of building and deploying large-scale blockchain systems or financial applications.
• Experience in working with cryptocurrency exchanges or other fintech platforms is a plus.

Soft Skills

Compliance and Regulatory Officer

  • Gambling Law and Regulations: A strong understanding of global and local gambling regulations, particularly jurisdictions like Curaçao, Malta, and other regions that provide licenses for online gambling.
  • Familiarity with the requirements of these licenses, including player protection, taxation, and financial reporting.
  • Cryptocurrency Regulations: Expertise in the evolving legal landscape surrounding cryptocurrencies, including AML (Anti-Money Laundering) and KYC (Know Your Customer) rules.
  • Knowledge of GDPR and other data privacy laws, ensuring the platform is compliant with regulations concerning user data protection, especially in regions like the EU.
  • Responsible Gambling Practices: Familiarity with responsible gambling standards and player protection mechanisms, ensuring that the platform promotes ethical gambling.
  • Risk Management: Risk Assessment: Ability to assess regulatory risks related to gambling and cryptocurrency. This includes identifying legal risks in specific markets and ensuring all operational practices align with the law.
  • Compliance Auditing: Experience conducting internal audits to ensure compliance with gambling laws, cryptocurrency regulations, and responsible gaming practices.
  • Licensing and Reporting: License Management: Experience in obtaining and maintaining the necessary licenses to operate an online gambling platform in different jurisdictions. This includes submitting reports and filings to regulators on a regular basis.
  • Reporting: Knowledge of reporting requirements for gambling operators, including financial reports, player activity, transaction data, and tax reporting.
  • Policy Development: Ability to develop internal compliance policies to meet all legal and regulatory obligations, including for cryptocurrency transactions.
  • Legal Drafting and Documentation: Contract Review and Negotiation: Experience in reviewing and drafting contracts with vendors, payment processors, and affiliates to ensure compliance with gambling and crypto regulations.
  • Terms & Conditions: Expertise in creating clear, compliant terms and conditions for users, including bonus policies, withdrawal limits, and dispute resolution procedures.
  • Documentation: Ability to maintain thorough records of compliance efforts, licenses, and correspondence with regulatory bodies.
• Professional Experience: 5+ years of experience in a compliance role within the gambling, cryptocurrency, fintech, or finance industry.
• Experience with cryptocurrency exchanges, betting platforms, or financial services is highly desirable.
• Proven track record of successfully obtaining and maintaining gambling licenses across multiple jurisdictions.

Soft Skills
