Pipe Layer Duties And Responsibilities

• Knowledge of blueprints and ability to read and interpret them.
• Ability to calculate and shoot grade as needed.
• Basic survey skills and survey equipment.
• Knowledge and understanding of pipe lasers and equipment.
• Prefer the candidate have 10 hour OSHA and Competent Person Training.
• Familiar with rigging practices, Certified Riggers Card is a plus.
• Confined Space training, Confined Space Certification is a plus.
• Competent understanding of all types of pipe materials and classification.

Requirements And Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years experience as pipe layer.
• Able to abide by all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as all company safety procedures.
• Strong work ethic and physical ability to lift 50+ pounds.
• Conduct work in a safe and appropriate manner.
• Overtime as required.
• Work is performed in an outdoor setting, which could include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt.
