Litigation Practice Areas

  • Defense of medical professionals and providers in all areas of health care liability.
  • This includes physicians, hospitals, nurses, allied health professionals, dentists, nursing homes and physician practices.
  • As well as defense of a wide variety of litigation areas including motor vehicle liability, premises liability, municipal liability, and hospitality and liquor liability.

Job Duties May Include

  • Obtaining, reviewing, and analyzing documents, including medical, financial, tax, and employment records.
  • Creating detailed medical and factual chronologies.
  • Preparing trial notebooks, exhibits, and witness files.
  • Compiling evidence through discovery documents, transcripts, records, libraries, and databases.
  • Managing and organizing electronic and physical case files.
  • Coinciding with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and support services.
  • Generating status reports, logs, and case indexes.
  • Corresponding with clients and opposing law firms.
  • Conducting legal and medical research, including review of expert materials.
  • Communicating with experts and analyzing their qualifications, prior testimony, transcripts, and publications.
  • Performing additional duties as needed.

Job Requirements

  • 3–5 years of litigation/casualty paralegal experience.
  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree required.
  • Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program preferred.
