About the role

The Boeing Regulatory Administration & Airworthiness team is seeking an Experienced (Level 3) or Senior (Level 4) Airworthiness & Regulatory Engineer to join their team on-site in Everett, Washington. Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with engineering teams, project administrators, and regulators (including international regulators/validation authorities) to certify projects for commercial aircraft production teams.
  • Review certification plans, write letters to regulators, and understand compliance processes.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues.
  • Coordinate technical messaging and partner with the FAA on regulatory issues.
  • Own, manage, and develop technical aptitude to execute process/procedure documents (BPM, BPIs, D6s, D950s, etc.).
  • Ensure coordination across products, platforms, and functional areas to promote a culture of compliance with requirements, procedures, and FAA guidance.
  • Develop strategic action plans for changes to certification processes and execute those plans through completion.
  • Contribute to root cause corrective action plans for noncompliances, voluntary disclosures, informal and formal corrective actions, including reviewing processes, conducting root cause analysis, and identifying corrective actions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or non-U.S. equivalent qualifications directly related to the work.
  • Level 3: 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Level 4: 9+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience leading a cross-functional team.
  • Able and willing to take ownership of work activities to ensure they are completed accurately and efficiently.

Skills

  • Experience presenting data to customers, suppliers, and program and site leaders.
  • Experience collecting data from multiple sources, performing analysis, and presenting data.
  • Familiarity with FAA documents.
  • Experience working with Boeing ODA E-UM and I-UM resources.
  • Experience implementing processes and standards compliant with airplane certification standards and/or FAA certification standards.

Pay

Pay is based on candidate experience, qualifications, market, and business considerations.

  • Experienced (Level 3): $114,750 - $155,250
  • Senior (Level 4): $141,100 - $190,900

Schedule

This position is for 1st shift.

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. Boeing will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status. This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements; a "U.S. Person" (U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee) is required.
