Responsible for managing open cut underground operations at Cape Canaveral. Key tasks include overseeing excavation, tunneling, and backfilling processes.
Responsibilities
- Oversee excavation and tunneling projects in hazardous environments
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations
- Manage team of underground workers and subcontractors
- Coordinate with project managers and engineers to ensure project timelines are met
- Perform quality control inspections to maintain project standards
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in open cut underground construction
- Valid driver’s license
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Qualifications
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with underground construction equipment
- Knowledge of OSHA and DOT regulations
