Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair Ford vehicles, including engine, transmission, drivability, electrical, and HVAC systems
- Utilize factory scan tools and service information to accurately identify vehicle concerns
- Complete warranty repairs in accordance with Ford policies and procedures
- Perform customer-pay repairs efficiently with a strong focus on quality and accuracy
- Stay current with Ford technology and vehicle systems, including hybrid and EV platforms (if applicable)
- Communicate clearly with Service Advisors regarding diagnostics, recommended repairs, and timelines
- Provide repair explanations that support customer trust and repair approval
- Work collaboratively with fellow technicians, shop foremen, and management
- Maintain strong flagged hours and productivity in a high-volume shop environment
- Properly manage time and prioritize multiple repair orders
- Follow dealership workflow processes to meet repair deadlines
- Conduct road tests and final inspections as required
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with OSHA and dealership standards
Qualifications
- 3+ years of main line or advanced automotive technician experience
- Prior Ford dealership experience preferred
- Strong diagnostic, mechanical, and electrical skills
- ASE certifications are a plus
- Must provide own tools
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
- Ability to multitask in a high-volume shop environment
