Experienced Automotive Technician

About the role

We’re looking for automotive mechanics with a minimum of 3 years of professional automotive repair experience to join Carvana as an Experienced Auto Technician. You will perform a full range of automotive repairs—from light maintenance to heavy engine work—and diagnostics on our vehicles, working on all makes and models.

Responsibilities

• Perform general to complex repairs on all makes and models, including timing belts, suspension systems, and heavy engine work.
• Diagnose and repair advanced vehicle electrical issues, including work on electric and hybrid vehicles.
• Complete repairs for wheel bearings and axles.
• Service vehicle climate control systems, including air‑conditioning units and heater cores.
• Utilize state‑of‑the‑art tools in high‑tech Inspection Centers.
• Participate in mandatory overtime as needed to meet customer delivery commitments.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of professional automotive repair experience.
• Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools; must be able to lift up to 60 pounds independently.
• At least 18 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license (some positions subject to Motor Vehicle Records check).
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, ever‑changing production environment and tolerate exposure to extreme weather conditions.
• Use of required safety equipment such as face shield or goggles, non‑slip shoes, gloves, mask, and other protective garments.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
