About the role
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Lab Technician to support inspection and quality processes within a manufacturing environment. This role involves evaluating coated components, performing microscope inspections, reviewing product specifications, and ensuring products meet strict quality standards. This position is ideal for candidates with strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and experience working with precision measurements and inspection equipment.
Responsibilities
- Inspect manufactured and coated components for quality and specification compliance
- Utilize microscopes to evaluate material thickness, coating quality, and product characteristics
- Review and follow work instructions, technical drawings, and inspection procedures
- Document inspection results and maintain accurate records
- Use measuring and inspection tools to verify product quality
- Identify defects or nonconforming materials and communicate findings appropriately
- Support production and quality teams with inspection-related activities
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Perform additional quality and manufacturing support duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Previous manufacturing, inspection, quality control, laboratory, or production experience preferred
- Experience using microscopes, calipers, or precision measuring tools preferred
- Ability to read blueprints, work instructions, and technical documents
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Computer skills and data-entry experience preferred
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Excellent attendance, reliability, and flexibility
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, push, pull, bend, squat, climb, and reach throughout the shift
- Ability to work in confined spaces when necessary
- Ability to stand and perform detailed inspection work for extended periods
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
Pay
$24.38 per hour
Schedule
3rd Shift: 10:50 PM – 7:00 AM
