About the role

D.A. Davidson & Co. is seeking experienced Analysts in the Investment Banking Technology Group. The Analyst will work with senior bankers on strategic assignments, assisting clients with mergers and acquisitions, public offerings, private placements, and other advisory services.

Responsibilities

  • Work on a team within the Technology industry vertical, developing industry-specific knowledge
  • Support the team's projects, including business development and investment banking transactions
  • Create financial analysis for various projects, including company valuation, projections, peer analysis, etc.
  • Prepare materials for team assignments, such as pitch books, management presentations, information memos, etc.
  • Cover due diligence
  • Participate in recruiting efforts

Requirements

  • 1 year to 18 months experience in Sell-Side M&A
  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum 3.5 GPA
  • Highly motivated and confident with a strong desire to succeed in a challenging field
  • Strong knowledge of business software (especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Basic corporate finance and accounting knowledge
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills, strong work ethic, and team-oriented
  • Able to handle multiple projects with competing priorities
  • Good judgment in confidential situations and ability to exercise discretion
  • Flexibility to work long hours, nights, and weekends, as needed

Qualifications

  • Completion of the FINRA Limited Representative-Investment Banking Exam (Series 79) and the Uniformed Securities Agent State Law Exam (Series 63) upon hiring

Benefits

  • After three years, Analysts have the opportunity to be promoted to an Associate
  • Second-year Analysts earn a salary of $105,000 annually plus bonus

Pay

  • $105,000 annual salary plus bonus for second-year Analysts

Schedule

  • Long hours, nights, and weekends, as needed
