Experienced Grading Operator

Responsibilities

• Operate several types of related grading construction equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Clear and grade land to prepare it for construction of roads.
• Work with one or several types of power construction equipment in a safe and effective manner to minimize the risk of injury and property damage.
• Read and understand grade stakes, automated machine control cab displays, etc.
• Make rough grade, finish grade as needed, depending on assignment.
• Safely maneuver machinery in tight quarters, around people, traffic and utilities.
• Clean, maintain and secure all equipment.
• Absorb and report incidents following proper safety and incident reporting procedures.
• Assist with repairs as needed.

Requirements

• Use machinery to move construction materials, earth and other heavy materials at construction sites.
• Read and understand grade stakes, automated machine control cab displays, etc.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Experience operating construction equipment.
• Ability to follow safety guidelines.
• Good physical condition.
