Experienced Full Time Utility Locator

Responsibilities

• Work under the direction of company supervisor
• Perform visual inspection of predefined construction areas
• Read and interpret utility maps
• Use special electronic equipment to locate and protect underground utilities
• Locate and protect utilities such as gas, electric, water, cable, sewer, and more

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license
• Pass pre-employment screenings: Drug test, background check, and driving record
• Successfully complete company’s training program and pass applicable written and field tests
• Develop a general knowledge of state and local damage prevention regulations
• Apply safety measures relating to motor vehicle operation and other field-related matters

Working Conditions and Hours

• Outdoor work environment with up to 10-12 miles of walking on different terrains
• Driving company vehicle to and from work sites
• M-F schedule: 7:30am-4pm
• Sometimes required to work weekends

Pay and Schedule

• Starting wage from $21/hour and more with experience
• M-F schedule: 7:30am-4pm
• Sometimes required to work weekends

Qualifications
