Responsibilities

  • Install various types of sprinkler systems, including wet pipe, dry pipe, pre-action, and deluge systems.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and specifications to ensure the system is installed correctly.
  • Regional travel with overnight stays may be required.

Requirements

  • Completion of a Fire Sprinkler Apprenticeship program preferred.
  • Possess, or can obtain, any applicable state licensing.
  • Knowledge of fire and building codes, OSHA, and other regulations pertaining to the job.
  • MSHA preferred.
  • Five or more years of experience in the fire sprinkler trade.
  • Basic computer and software skills.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license, with acceptable driving record.
  • Must have and maintain an acceptable national criminal background check.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment urinalysis, and any further randomly selected tests.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and on-call, when necessary.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit, stand, kneel, crouch or stoop for prolonged periods.
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle.
  • Ability to climb ladders, scaffolding and stairs.
  • Ability to move about in areas with limited space and difficult access.
  • Ability to safely lift, transport and place objects up to 70 pounds, without assistance.
  • Ability to work both indoors and outdoors.
  • Ability to use trade-specific power tools such as hand tools, saws, pipe cutters, etc.

Schedule

  • 8, 10 or 12 hour shifts, Monday – Friday.

Pay
