Experienced Fertigation Technician

Reports to: Fertigation Supervisor

About the role

The Fertigation Technician will work with the Cultivation Team on a variety of projects and tasks throughout multiple areas in the garden to ensure the best possible products for our patients.

Schedule

PM work (7:00am–5:30pm, 4×10 or 7:00am–3:30pm, 5×8). Candidates must have good reliability and the ability to work with limited oversight.

Responsibilities

• Help the Cultivation Team meet production demands and maintain quality expectations.
• Perform fertigation, plant maintenance, cleaning of grow and common areas, trimming, integrated pest management (IPM), and packaging plant products.
• Communicate with Team Leads/Managers and assist in other areas when not occupied with required daily tasks.
• Maintain personal cleanliness and proper PPE throughout the cultivation process.
• Follow best agricultural practices.
• Maintain accurate records, inventories, and data as needed.
• Perform other tasks as required and follow all facility protocols.

Technician-Specific Tasks

• Ensure plant health and safety by monitoring room environments, plant nutrition and fertigation, light schedules, and pest management.
• Operate Rhythm Fertigation equipment.
• Oversee the fertigation of the garden.
• Batch stock tanks.
• Maintain a clean working area and garden.
• Oversee building maintenance software.
• Assist with small maintenance tasks.
• Treat rooms with required pesticides.
• Scout and identify issues, troubleshoot accordingly.
• Collect data throughout the garden using the fertigation system and IPM.

Requirements

• Fertigation experience.
• IPM experience.
• Able to work long hours.
• Able to lift 50 pounds.
• Capable of working in dark or bright environments.
• Able to work in low-oxygen areas.
• Capable of working with or around caustic and potentially harmful chemicals.
• Understands compliance regulations and adheres to SOPs for specialized areas.
