Experienced Excavator Operator

Archer Western Construction is seeking an Excavator Operator for the West Bartow Water Reclamation Facility in Kingston, GA. The operator will work on constructing, maintaining, or repairing highway, heavy civil, or building structures. Equipment operators are also expected to assist in other duties around the jobsite as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate an excavator to dig, excavate, and move/transport materials such as dirt, rocks, and other aggregates.
• Knowledge of operating procedures for loading and unloading materials.
• Perform daily safety and maintenance checks on equipment, including oiling, greasing, servicing, and making normal maintenance adjustments.
• Complete required paperwork and documentation.
• Assist with other related duties on the jobsite as needed.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of excavator operating experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in adverse weather conditions.
• Compliance with all safety policies and procedures; effective communication with co-workers and supervisors.
• Strong work ethic and desire to learn.
• Good manual dexterity; ability to stand, bend, kneel, or sit for long periods.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening.

This is a full-time position within the Water Division.
