Responsibilities

• Perform all work according to MSHA and H&K Safety policies
• Perform pre‑ and post‑trip equipment inspections daily and complete inspection sheets
• Start engine, shift gears, press pedals, and operate steering wheel/joysticks/levers to run heavy equipment including excavator with hammer
• Provide excellent customer service to all on‑site customers
• Maintain haul roads that are smooth and safe
• Keep stockpiles properly bermed and maintained
• Ensure product is blended correctly
• Perform routine equipment maintenance such as lubricating and cleaning
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required Skills, Education, and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED) from an accredited institution, or one year of related experience and/or training
• Verbal and written communication skills
• Experience operating a bulldozer
• Problem‑solving ability
• Ability to fit test and use appropriate PPE as needed
• Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, etc.)
• Must pass pre‑employment drug testing

Preferred Skills, Education, and Experience:

• Three years of related experience
• Experience working in a quarry, heavy civil construction, or other outdoor industrial setting
• MSHA or other relevant safety certification

• Specific vision abilities include distance, peripheral, and depth perception
