We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our project teams, contributing to world-class designs for new projects, alterations, and redevelopments across a diverse range of sectors, including process, corporate, airports, industrial, manufacturing, government, and military facilities.
Responsibilities
- Work with project teams throughout the design and construction process, adapting electrical plans to meet budget constraints, design factors, and client needs.
- Perform electrical design from the conceptual phase through design completion.
- Modify and review production drawings for projects such as process facilities, industrial facilities, airports, commercial, governmental, and military facilities.
- Design electrical components based on project requirements set forth by project managers.
- Apply strong knowledge of electrical engineering concepts, principles, practices, codes, and procedures.
- Research and compile project-related data as required by project managers.
- Update drawings using CAD software to verify corrections.
- Compile information for client presentations, shop drawing reviews, and contract administration for various facility types.
- Perform field inspections, measurements, or calculations for public and private clients.
- Perform other assigned duties and comply with all company policies and standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related degree from an ABET-accredited program and 3 years of electrical engineering experience, or
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or related Engineering Technology from an ABET-accredited program, successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam, and 3 years of electrical engineering experience, or
- Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and 2 years of electrical engineering experience.
- Consulting experience preferred.
- 5 years of electrical engineering and consulting experience strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of standard engineering techniques and procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment with demonstrated critical thinking skills.
- Proficiency in electrical engineering calculation and production platforms (e.g., Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, SKM, ETAP, and lighting design/calculation software such as Visual, Dialux, AGi32, or ElumTools).
- Strong computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
- Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Engineers in Training (EIT) Certification preferred.
Pay
$115,000.00–230,000.00 yearly. The expected compensation range is based on individual education, qualifications, prior work experience, and work location. The total annual compensation package includes a base salary and eligibility to participate in a discretionary year-end incentive bonus program.
