About the role

The experienced Electrical Engineer will work on project teams to create world-class designs for new projects, alterations, and redevelopments on a variety of projects including process, corporate, airports, industrial, manufacturing, government, and military facilities. The role involves working with the project team throughout the design and construction process, adapting electrical plans according to budget constraints, design factors, or client needs. Responsibilities include performing electrical design from the conceptual phase through design completion, modifying and reviewing production drawings, designing electrical components for project needs, updating drawings, compiling information for client presentations, shop drawing reviews, and contract administration. Field inspections, measurements, and calculations may also be performed.

Responsibilities

  • Create world-class designs for various types of projects including process, corporate, airports, industrial, manufacturing, government, and military facilities.
  • Adapt electrical plans according to budget constraints, design factors, or client needs during the design and construction process.
  • Design electrical components for project needs and requirements as set forth by project managers.
  • Update drawings provided by senior engineers to ensure corrections are made within multiple CAD-related software.
  • Compile information for client presentations, shop drawing reviews, and contract administration for the design of process, industrial, healthcare, airports, educational institutions, commercial, and governmental and military facilities.
  • Perform field inspections, measurements, or calculations for public and private clients.
  • Participate in other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related degree from an ABET-accredited program and 3 years of electrical engineering experience required. Consulting experience preferred.
  • OR Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or related Engineering Technology from an ABET-accredited program and successful completion of Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam and 3 years of electrical engineering experience required. Consulting experience preferred.
  • OR Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering and 2 years of electrical engineering experience required. Consulting experience preferred.
  • 5 years of electrical engineering and consulting experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge in standard engineering techniques and procedures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment and demonstrate critical thinking skills.
  • Proficient in standard engineering techniques and procedures.
  • Must be proficient in electrical engineering calculation and production platforms (e.g., Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, SKM, ETAP, and lighting design/calculation software such as Visual, Dialux, AGi32, or ElumTools).
  • Strong computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Engineers in Training-EIT Certification preferred.

Qualifications

Pay

$115,000.00 - $230,000.00 yearly
