About the role

Our boutique Divorce / Family Law Firm is presently hiring an experienced Family Law Litigation Associate looking to advance their career in a team-oriented environment. The ideal candidate must have at least three (3) years as a Divorce / Family Law Attorney.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the minimum billable hour requirement
  • Provide compassionate legal services to clients in all forms of family law matters, including divorce, equitable distribution, custody, support, step-parent adoptions. Our office also provides services for Name Changes and Estate Planning matters
  • Draft legal pleadings and documents as well as researching of local rules and case law
  • Represent clients in Court for conferences, hearings and trials
  • Timely respond to all client telephone calls and emails within the contractual obligation set forth in the Firm's Engagement Letter
  • Oversee the timeline and presentation of service of discovery and preparation of discovery responses
  • Exhibit unwavering professionalism and ethical integrity

Requirements

  • JD from an accredited law school and an active member in good standing of the Pennsylvania Bar
  • Minimum of 3 years experience specifically in Divorce / Family law
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Strong computer skills including experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
  • Is able to manage multiple cases with strict deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information

Professional development expectations

  • Participate in CLEs in order to fine-tune litigation skills and techniques
  • Enroll and attend meetings with the local Bar Association
  • Endeavor to become a published author in his/her field
  • Attend professional conferences
