About the role
We are seeking an experienced Diesel Technician at one of our busy travel-center locations. You will provide accurate, efficient service by troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing heavy-duty trucks and trailers in a professional and accommodating manner, ensuring every traveler leaves better than they arrived.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose wear conditions and, together with TSA or Manager, make recommendations to customers
- Complete repairs within your capabilities and as written on work orders
- Understand Truck Service Standard Services and specialized customer programs
- Follow safety guidelines and report potentially unsafe situations caused by team members and/or customers
Requirements
- ASE Certified (preferred)
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Previous experience in a repair or parts shop (preferred)
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and some holidays, in both interior and exterior conditions
- A valid driver’s license
