About the role

As a Diesel Technician on our Fleet Maintenance team, you’ll perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs on day cabs and trailers—all under manufacturer warranty. This role focuses on diagnostics, aftertreatment systems, and component replacements, with no major engine overhauls or roadside calls.

• Perform routine maintenance and component replacements
• Diagnose complex electrical, engine, and transmission issues using diagnostic tools and software
• Address aftertreatment systems (DEF/emissions), perform regens, and change filters
• Collaborate with your team to optimize vehicle performance and minimize downtime
• Maintain accurate records and adhere to DOT compliance and safety protocols

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience with Heavy-Duty Class 8 trucks and trailers or similar equipment (e.g., agricultural, construction, waste collection)
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for diesel engines, transmissions, and vehicle systems
• Proficiency with diagnostic software and laptop-based manuals
• Experience with aftertreatment systems and electrical diagnostics
• Comfort with MIG welding (a plus)
• Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
• Ability to perform physical tasks associated with vehicle maintenance (lifting, bending, etc.)
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Solid attendance record and punctuality

Qualifications

• A minimum of two ASE Certifications within the first 6 months of employment (reimbursed by Carvana)
• T-series ASE Certifications highly valued

Pay

$33–$40 hourly

Schedule

• Tuesday through Saturday: 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM
• Sunday through Thursday: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
