Experienced Dementia Caregivers 12 Hour Day

Actively hiring experienced caregivers with significant dementia experience in La Jolla, CA. Per diem employment with 12-hour day shifts available Monday-Sunday.

About the Role

Join Cheer Home Care and provide compassionate non-medical home care services to elderly and disabled individuals, focusing on those with dementia. Your role will center on companionship, personal care, homemaking, and transportation to help clients maintain a comfortable and fulfilling life at home.

Responsibilities

• Personal care with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, toileting, personal hygiene assistance, and light meal preparation.
• Transportation services for clients to medical appointments.
• Organizing dementia-friendly tasks and activities.
• Light housekeeping and organization.
• Providing mobility assistance, transfers, and physical support.

Requirements

• 10+ years of dementia care experience required.
• Experience with specialized care, such as Dementia or Parkinson's.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to assist with activities of daily living.
• Reliable transportation to drive clients in their vehicle (mileage reimbursement included).
• Must have a smartphone with internet access.
• Certifications preferred but not required: CNA, HHA, CPR, First Aid, AED.
