Responsibilities
- Analyze business operations and identify improvement opportunities
- Assess current-state operations to identify inefficiencies across business processes, workforce utilization, and operational performance
- Gather and analyze quantitative and qualitative data to translate business challenges into structured analyses and actionable recommendations
- Develop business cases that quantify productivity improvements, operational efficiencies, and financial impact
- Support operational improvement initiatives
- Support business process redesign efforts that improve throughput, reduce cost, and enhance quality
- Analyze workforce capacity, labor utilization, operating models, and performance metrics to identify optimization opportunities
- Help clients prioritize and implement improvement initiatives based on business value, feasibility, and organizational impact
- Deliver technology-enabled productivity solutions
- Identify opportunities to incorporate AI, automation, and digital capabilities into operational workflows while supporting the design of future-state processes
- Collaborate with technical teams to translate business requirements into scalable solutions
- Leverage AI tools to accelerate analysis, synthesize complex information, and support data-driven recommendations for clients, exercising sound judgment in evaluating outputs
- Apply AI technologies (e.g., generative AI, automation tools, data models) to enhance insights, improve delivery efficiency, and elevate the quality of client outcomes
- Deliver value for clients and contribute to the practice
- Produce high-quality client deliverables, analyses, presentations, and recommendations while supporting implementation activities
- Collaborate with cross-functional project teams and client stakeholders to deliver measurable business outcomes
- Contribute to proposal development, knowledge sharing, and internal initiatives that strengthen West Monroe's Productivity discipline
Requirements
- 2–4 years of experience in management consulting, professional services, operations, or a similarly analytical environment
- Experience improving business processes, operational performance, workforce productivity, or service delivery
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations
- Experience building quantitative analyses, such as productivity, capacity, cost, or operational performance models
- Exposure to AI, automation, or advanced analytics applied to business processes
- Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, Value Stream Mapping, or other continuous improvement methodologies is preferred
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients and cross-functional teams
- Experience integrating AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) into day-to-day workflows to enhance productivity and insight generation, coupled with strong critical thinking to assess accuracy, mitigate bias, and ensure high-quality outputs
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, operations, analytics, or a related field
- Ability to travel up to 50%
