EXPERIENCED CNC MACHINIST WITH UP TO $10K BONUS
About the role
(CNC) Machinists operate various machines (manual and/or CNC) such as; lathes, mills, vertical machining centers, horizontal boring mills, etc. Inside machinists troubleshoot operations and take appropriate actions to correct. The machinists perform quality inspections, verifying dimensions of work piece are in accordance with drawing specifications.
Requirements
The candidate must be able to understand written instructions and strong math skills are essential. This is a construction environment involving physical labor within a shipyard environment. Must be able to work ANY shift.
- 3+ years experience
Nice to Have
- Prior Mechanical experience such as Automotive Repair, Plant Maintenance, Machinery Installation/Repair is a plus.
- Successful completion of a technical/vocational program in Machining, Diesel Technology, Automotive, HVAC, Mechanical.

Pay
The anticipated salary range represents the estimated base pay for this role. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors, and may vary from the posted range of $74,297.60 to $85,196.80.
A bonus is available, with the specifics as follows: FOR OUT OF AREA/OUT OF STATE CANDIDATES, THAT RESIDE 50 OR MORE MILES FROM NEWPORT NEWS SHIPBUILDING - $5000.00 in relocation bonus on your start date (this amount is grossed up) $5000.00 SIGN ON THAT IS SUBJECT TO STATE AND FEDERAL TAXES UPON START DATE, FOR ALL OTHER CANDIDATES.
