Visiting Angels of Hillsborough is hiring caregivers to serve clients in Belle Mead, Edison, Piscataway, Somerset, and other nearby areas. Join a national network dedicated to providing at-home care.

Responsibilities

• Helping clients with personal care and hygiene
• Assisting clients with light physical exercise or walks
• Planning and preparing meals with clients
• Handling light housekeeping duties
• Reporting health changes or unusual incidents
• Providing pleasant, supportive companionship
• Responding quickly and responsibly in emergencies
• Accompanying and supervising clients during shopping trips
• Reminding clients to take prescription medications appropriately
• Providing assistance with mobility and ambulation both at home and during appointments/errands

Requirements

• Valid certification as a Home Health Aide (HHA), licensed by the New Jersey State Board of Nursing
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Preferred to have a Valid Drivers License, Car Insurance, and a Reliable Personal Vehicle
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent time-management skills
• Reliable transportation to get to and from client homes
• Confidence in physical endurance and ability to perform housekeeping and cooking duties
• Compliance with state and office-specific health and safety standards
• Compassion, understanding, and a desire to brighten the day of each client
• Able to perform patient observation accurately and respond promptly to changing health conditions
