Role As a Visiting Angels Experienced CHHA, you'll play a vital role in enriching the quality of life of clients and supporting their wellness in accordance with their custom care plans. This can include: Helping clients with personal care and hygieneAssisting clients with light physical exercise or walksPlanning and preparing meals with clientsHandling light housekeeping dutiesReporting health changes or unusual incidentsProviding pleasant, supportive companionshipResponding quickly and responsibly in emergenciesAccompanying and supervise clients during shopping tripsReminding clients to take prescription medications appropriatelyProviding assistance with mobility and ambulation both at home and during appointments/errands A Visiting Angels Experienced CHHA works under a Registered Nurse, and there are no supervision responsibilities with this position. The CHHA has HIPAA restricted access to certain client information, and is an hourly per-diem, non-exempt Direct Care staff member with no guaranteed minimum number of hours per week. Visiting Angels offers opportunities for advanced training in areas like dementia care and/or Alzheimer’s care for caregivers seeking to broaden their skills.
