Experienced Caregiver or Personal Care Assistant

Job Responsibilities

• Personal Care Assist with bathing and grooming
• Provide toileting and incontinence care
• Assist with dressing and personal hygiene
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Help clients maintain their dignity and independence
• Home and Daily Living Support
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding, when applicable
• Perform light housekeeping
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment
• Assist clients with daily routines
• Companionship and Support
• Provide companionship and emotional support
• Encourage independence and social engagement
• Assist clients with appropriate daily activities
• Develop a respectful and supportive relationship with clients
• Mobility Assistance
• Assist with ambulation
• Assist with transfers, as permitted by the client's care plan
• Support safe movement throughout the home
• Medication Reminders
• Provide medication reminders according to the client's care plan and applicable requirements
• Transportation and Community Support
• Assist with transportation to medical appointments, when applicable
• Assist with errands and community activities, when applicable

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of personal care experience preferred
• Previous experience as a Caregiver, PCA, HHA, Home Health Aide, Personal Care Aide, Direct Care Worker, or similar position is a plus
• Proof of current TB testing required
• Must be physically able to perform the essential duties of the position
• Must have reliable transportation
• If transporting clients, must have a valid driver's license and current automobile insurance
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Mature, caring, punctual, and dependable
• Must successfully pass required criminal background and fingerprint checks
