Pay
Starting wage: $21.25/hr - $26.57/hr

Year-round (10-month) position, full-time hours available
About the Role
As the Experienced Building Maintenance professional, you will make competent decisions while prioritizing the customers and resort’s interests. This role covers repairs, upkeep, and preventative maintenance across multiple departments. Vail Resorts’ core values are essential for success in this function.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the integrity of resort assets
- Abide by all safety rules and regulations (corporate, state, and federal)
- Comply with preventative maintenance programs for rooms, public areas, and equipment using automated systems
- Train technical staff on job-specific tasks as needed
- Coordinate projects with subcontractors
- Order and maintain stock for critical equipment using the purchase order system
- Follow safety procedures and report unsafe conditions to supervisors
- Collaborate with other departments and area managers for property improvements
- Maintain daily job logs
- Repair and replace parts, piping, valves, drywall, paint, and other maintenance tasks
- Install appliances, troubleshoot general mechanics, woodwork, plumbing, electrical, control systems, kitchen equipment, and HVAC
- Apply knowledge of Lockout-Tagout procedures, OSHA, EPA, and MSDS
- Demonstrate planning, organizing, and controlling skills
- Attend job-specific training classes as required
- Maintain a positive attitude and strong people skills under pressure
- Perform snow removal, shoveling, and other resort-based operations
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- 2–4 years of trade school experience in plumbing, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, or general handyman work
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English
- Strong public relations, administrative, and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently and execute tasks efficiently
- Advanced knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and framing
- Minimum age: 18 years
