Experienced Behavioral Interventionist
Entry-level pay rate: $21–$24/hour. Certified (RBT/BCAT/ABAT) pay rate: $25–$29/hour.
About the role
Maxim Healthcare Services is hiring Behavior Interventionalists and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) to provide in-home and community-based ABA services to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and related developmental disabilities. Premium rates are available for RBTs who have maintained certification for at least six months and successfully pass a clinical interview conducted by a BCBA.
Responsibilities
- Help children work on social skills, communication skills, and repetitive or restrictive behaviors
- Document child progress and milestones
- Follow and implement behavior-change plans created by our Board-Certified Behavior Analysts
Requirements
- Passion for working with children with special needs
- Strong communication skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must have reliable transportation
- Completion of college coursework in psychology, education, social work, behavioral science, human development, or a minimum of one year of experience working with children in one of the following capacities: Child Development, Camp Counselor, Paraprofessional, Behavioral Interventionist, ABA Therapist, or Behavior Technician
