Experienced Audit Accountant - Non-Profit Team
Description
Aid in conducting audits, accounting, assurance, and other services for clients. Coordinate service activities with clients and manage staff. Develop new client relationships and enhance existing ones through excellent customer service. Operate effectively in a fast-paced, diverse work environment servicing various clients.
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Extensive knowledge of the nonprofit industry, including nonprofit accounting and reporting matters, financial reporting and compliance specific to nonprofit organizations, best practices, and unique challenges faced by nonprofits.
- Previous experience with auditing nonprofit and related organizations, such as Yellow Book Audits and Single Audits, is preferred.
- Actively working towards obtaining a CPA license; a current CPA license is preferred.
- Minimum of 6+ years public accounting experience, specifically with NFP clients, demonstrating technical proficiency, a progression in complexity, scope, and number of engagements managed, and strong supervisory experience.
- (For Associate level position): 2+ years private accounting experience in the NFP space.
- Strong project management and analytical skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- High level of proficiency in Excel.
