Experienced Asphalt Laborer
About the role
Walbec Group produces high-quality construction materials and offers professional design, engineering, and construction services through its six companies: Payne and Dolan, Northeast Asphalt, Zenith Tech, Parisi, Premier Concrete, and Construction Resources Management. Located in the Midwest, Walbec specializes in projects such as bridge construction, shoreline stabilization, structure rehabilitation, and solar site engineering.
Responsibilities
- Raking
- Shoveling
- Cleaning
- Making measurements
- Managing traffic
- Operating small equipment (saw, blower, etc.)
Requirements
- Valid Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record
- Preferred but not required: Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Punctuality and dependability
- Variety of working hours including nights, early mornings, and weekends
- Tolerance for working in variable weather conditions and dirty/dusty environments
- Membership in the appropriate trade union or willingness to join one
- Previous construction experience preferred
- Previous experience in landscaping, farming, or raking/shoveling preferred
