Experienced Anesthesia Technician- full-time

Beth Israel Lahey Health is a growing team dedicated to making a difference in people's lives. Full-time day shift positions are available, with a 6:00am to 2:30pm schedule, including weekends, with a call radius of 30 minutes.

Responsibilities

• Maintains, services, sets up, tests, and troubleshoots equipment and provides technical assistance to the Anesthesia staff in the care of patients.
• Learns supervisory responsibility for the department daily by observing the Anesthesia Tech Manager or designee.
• Performs all duties and obligations associated with call and meets all departmental and hospital policy requirements.
• Assists the Anesthesia staff in the set up and initialization of hemodynamic monitoring equipment including arterial lines, central venous catheters, PA catheters, TEE.
• Assists anesthesia providers with arterial line and central line placement.
• Tests, sets up, maintain sterile technique and process autologous blood products for reinfusion.
• Conducts performance tests, performs calibration and first level repairs (i.e. battery changes, cable swapping, monitor checks) of anesthesia equipment.
• Troubleshoots routine problems with equipment in OR during use, repairing or replacing as necessary.
• Maintains yearly competency with High Level Disinfection processes.
• Participates fully in call rotation to provide technical support for anesthesia services after hours and on weekends/holidays.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent education and experience.
• Licensure, Certification, Registration: None.
• Experience: Six months to one year of Anesthesia Technologist experience.

• In the absence of any of these skills, demonstrates the ability to learn to meet organizational standards.

Benefits

This position offers a competitive pay range of $23.10 - $34.33 per hour, subject to change based on seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.

The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.
