Anesthesia Technician - Anesthesia Mainland - Full Time

About the role

The Anesthesia Technician supports the anesthesia team by maintaining supplies and equipment, assisting with patient care, and preparing the pre-anesthesia area.

Responsibilities

• Orders and maintains non-controlled medication stock and other related surgical supplies according to departmental standards.
• Cleans and maintains anesthesia equipment and supplies.
• Captures and coordinates repairs with the Biomedical Services department as necessary.
• Prepares and cleans the pre-anesthesia area daily.
• Assists with patient care related duties as requested.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of technician program preferred.
• BLSHCP certification required.
• Proficiency in Clinical Applications preferred at time of hire; incumbents within position will be trained appropriately and then skill will be required for this position within 30-60 days from date of hire.
