Responsibilities

Combine clinical expertise with teaching, translational/clinical research, and leadership responsibilities.
Interpret cytologic specimens, including Pap smears, fine needle aspirations (FNA), and Non-GYN specimens.
Provide diagnostic consultations to clinicians and participate in multidisciplinary case reviews.
Perform and supervise FNAs, including rapid on-site evaluations (ROSE)
Ensure quality assurance and compliance with laboratory standards and regulations
Provide conference support with department faculty members
Conduct and support scholarly activities and collaborative research.
Actively participate in educational activities with medical students, residents, and fellows.

Requirements

  • A Doctorate or terminal degree (MD, DO, or equivalent) is required.
  • Board certification by the American Board of Pathology in Anatomic Pathology or Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.
  • Completion of a Cytopathology fellowship or equivalent substantial experience, along with board certification in Cytopathology.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience.
  • Eligibility for medical licensure in the state of Indiana
