Expander Operator

About the role

A manufacturer of light-weight automotive components is seeking a reliable and motivated Secondary Expander Operator. All three shifts available, with training on 1st and/or 2nd shift required for 3rd shift.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Secondary Expander production equipment.
• Monitor production processes and adjust machine settings to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Inspect product quality and bulk density, making process adjustments as needed.
• Troubleshoot equipment and process issues to minimize downtime.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and keep work areas clean and organized.
• Complete production reports and maintain accurate documentation.
• Assist material handlers and support production operations as needed.
• Cross-train in other production areas to support team flexibility.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret basic production data and work instructions.
• Experience using precision measuring tools is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn multiple production processes.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, push, pull, and twist throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment.
