HotFoot Recruiters is seeking Exhaust Technicians to support industrial exhaust-system installation on active semiconductor construction projects in North Phoenix. This role is ideal for candidates with at least two years of sheet metal, HVAC ductwork, exhaust-system, or mechanical installation experience who are interested in continuing to learn alongside an experienced field team.

Responsibilities

  • Install, assemble, modify, repair, and maintain industrial exhaust ductwork and related sheet metal systems.
  • Install fittings, transitions, flanges, dampers, supports, hangers, access panels, and equipment connections.
  • Connect exhaust ductwork serving scrubbers, RCTO systems, and other air-pollution-control equipment.
  • Inspect ductwork and exhaust components for leaks, damage, improper alignment, or installation deficiencies.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and replacing damaged or defective exhaust-system components.
  • Read and follow construction drawings, specifications, installation details, and field layouts.
  • Take accurate field measurements and verify dimensions, elevations, routing, alignment, and clearances.
  • Fabricate or modify sheet metal components in the field when required.
  • Support leak testing, inspections, system verification, punch-list completion, and project turnover.
  • Safely operate hand tools, power tools, aerial lifts, ladders, and other construction equipment.
  • Coordinate installation activities with mechanical, piping, electrical, QA/QC, and other field teams.
  • Follow all jobsite safety, cleanroom, respiratory-protection, and PPE requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Participate in pre-task planning, toolbox talks, and required safety meetings.
  • Perform additional sheet metal and exhaust-system duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of sheet metal, HVAC ductwork, industrial exhaust, mechanical installation, or related construction experience.
  • Familiarity with ductwork, fittings, flanges, supports, hangers, dampers, and basic installation methods.
  • Ability to safely use common construction hand and power tools.
  • Ability to read basic construction drawings and take accurate field measurements.
  • High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade training preferred.
  • Semiconductor, cleanroom, data-center, advanced-manufacturing, or industrial construction experience preferred.
  • Experience with scrubber, RCTO, or air-abatement exhaust connections is a plus.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.
  • Aerial-lift, fall-protection, forklift, rigging, or respirator certification is a plus.
  • Mandarin-English bilingual ability preferred.
  • Dependable, safety-focused, team-oriented, and willing to learn from experienced team members.
  • Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable working at heights, in confined areas, and while wearing required PPE or respiratory protection.
  • Able to work overtime, weekends, or extended shifts based on project needs.

Pay

$66.33/hr

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–3:00 PM. Overtime, weekends, and extended shifts may be required.
