Exercise Specialist- Cardiac Rehab

About the role

Perform duties and responsibilities related to the therapeutic exercise program for cardiopulmonary rehab patients within identified ACSM Guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement therapeutic exercise programs for cardiopulmonary rehab patients.
• Evaluate patient progress and adjust exercise plans accordingly.
• Provide education on proper exercise techniques and safety measures.
• Document patient progress and communicate with healthcare providers as needed.
• Ensure all exercises comply with ACSM Guidelines.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Health/Fitness, Exercised Physiology/Science, or other health related area.
• Certified as an Exercise Specialist by the American College of Sports Medicine preferred.
• Current AHA BLS certification required.

• Knowledge of ACSM Guidelines for therapeutic exercise programs.
• Ability to assess patient needs and tailor exercise plans accordingly.
