Exercise Specialist

About the role

Apart from the Health & Fitness Center, this position collaborates with various departments within the facility to meet the needs of members, patients, and guests.

Responsibilities

• Teaches fundamental techniques and components using methods including discussion, demonstration, repetitive practice, and integration of component skills into overall activity goals.
• Adheres to ACSM guidelines for safe exercise participation.
• Maintains the exercise floor, ensuring a pleasant and safe environment for members.

Requirements

• Knowledge of health and fitness, and at least one year of work experience in wellness, health promotion, health club, university, or community recreation, or hospital fitness.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Current certification in Personal Training (e.g., ACSM, ACE, AFAA, NCSA).
• American Red Cross CPR/AED, American Heart Association BLS, or American Heart Association CPR Certification within 30 days of hire.

Commensurate with experience.
