About the role
Active Spine and Joint Institute is seeking a full-time Exercise Specialist to join their multidisciplinary team of Chiropractic Physicians, Occupational Therapists, Nurse Practitioners, and Exercise Specialists. The position is based in the Rio Grande, NJ office and offers 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities
- Actively assist patients through prescribed rehabilitation
- Perform Functional Movement Screenings
- Help patients with modalities
- Orthotic fitting
- Patient education
- Take patient vitals
- Knowledge of rehabilitation exercises
- Explain rehabilitation exercises to patients
- Floor supervision
- Equipment maintenance
Qualifications/Requirements
- Exercise Science or related field with knowledge of Exercise, Kinesiology, or Health Promotion, preferred but not required.
- Fitness certification, preferred but not required.
- Able to teach and motivate patients effectively.
- Strong customer service, teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills are required.
