Exercise Science, Adjunct Faculty

About the Role

Assignments include teaching at both undergraduate and/or graduate levels, as applicable, on the main campus or at off-campus sites within the region.

Responsibilities

• Teaches core or elective courses in the undergraduate Exercise Science program.
• Contributes to course and/or curriculum development.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Exercise Science or a related field with at least 18 graduate hours in the discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

• Doctorate degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution or equivalent accreditation.
• Experience teaching courses at the undergraduate level.
• Five or more years of experience in the discipline.

Skills

• Knowledge of strength and conditioning techniques.
• Knowledge of fitness assessment, exercise training, and exercise prescription.
• Ability to promote a common purpose consistent with university goals and demonstrate a commitment to students and the learning environment.
• Proficiency in reading, interpreting, and following procedural and policy manuals.
• Ability to respond positively to supervision, guidance, and direction.
• Strong customer service skills, creating a welcoming and supportive environment.

• Ability to build collaborative relationships and work effectively with others to achieve common goals.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to recommend process improvements.
