About the Role

Responsibilities
- Teaches core or elective courses in the undergraduate Exercise Science program.
- Contributes to course and/or curriculum development.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Exercise Science or a related field with at least 18 graduate hours in the discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
- Doctorate degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution or equivalent accreditation.
- Experience teaching courses at the undergraduate level.
- Five or more years of experience in the discipline.
Skills
- Knowledge of strength and conditioning techniques.
- Knowledge of fitness assessment, exercise training, and exercise prescription.
- Ability to promote a common purpose consistent with university goals and demonstrate a commitment to students and the learning environment.
- Proficiency in reading, interpreting, and following procedural and policy manuals.
- Ability to respond positively to supervision, guidance, and direction.
- Strong customer service skills, creating a welcoming and supportive environment.
- Professional demeanor in word, action, and attire.
- Ability to build collaborative relationships and work effectively with others to achieve common goals.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to recommend process improvements.
