About the Role
The position is available in the Health Science department, focusing on Midwest Culinary Institute. The role involves teaching culinary arts courses and managing the institute's operations.
Responsibilities
- Teach culinary arts courses to students enrolled in the Midwest Culinary Institute.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the Midwest Culinary Institute, including scheduling classes, maintaining facilities, and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to develop and implement new curriculum and training programs.
- Assess student progress and provide feedback through regular evaluations and performance reviews.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with industry partners and potential employers.
Requirements
- A Master's degree in Culinary Arts or related field.
- At least 5 years of professional experience in culinary education or equivalent.
- Proven ability to manage a team and lead educational initiatives.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Qualifications
Strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to work effectively in a team setting are essential. Proficiency in culinary techniques and a passion for teaching are also required.
