Exercise Physiologist PRN
Job Summary
Seeking an Exercise Physiologist for PRN position for our Non-Invasive Cardiology department.
What you will do in this role
- Provide expertise in the supervision of exercise ECG testing for stress treadmill and stress echocardiography as well as pharmacological stress testing.
- Provide expertise in the development of phase I and II of the cardiopulmonary rehabilitation program.
- Supervise stress testing for low-moderate risk cardiac patients.
- Maintain patient safety during stress testing.
- Develop and adjust exercise plans for cardiopulmonary rehab patients.
- Assist physicians and nurses with emergency situations.
- Educate patients, family and community regarding home exercise program and the use of home exercise equipment.
- Communicate effectively (written/verbal) with patients, physicians and other internal and external customers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology or equivalent is required. Masters preferred.
- Familiarity with exercise equipment.
- Good physical and mental health, manual dexterity, visual and aural acuity and ability to move quickly.
- BCLS and ACLS required.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience is preferred.
