Exercise Physiologist - Full Time/Days

Responsibilities

• Provides direction and oversight to those assisting/learning the exercise therapy role; i.e., new employees, exercise science or EKG students/interns.
• Assists with Cardiac Stress Testing.
• Performs electrocardiography (ECG) testing, and Holter monitors.
• Maintains statistics and files completed reports according to established procedures.
• Maintains equipment by cleaning, lubricating and replacing items such as paper rolls, fuses, and bulbs.
• Selects and assesses portions of the test strips, interprets data or summarizes data for interpretation by medical staff.
• Maintains sufficient inventory to efficiently operate the EKG services.
• Performs billing for Holter and stress testing using using hospital systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science, Health Education, Health Leisure & Exercise Scie, Kinesiology, Public Health.
• Minimum Work Experience: 1-3 years Experience in cardiac or fitness/wellness related environment.
• Required or Completed internship in cardiac and pulmonary related setting.
• Licenses and Certifications: BLS for Healthcare Providers (BLS), American Heart Association Upon Hire Required, EKG Technician (CET_NHA) within 2 Years Required, or Certified Cardiographic Technician (CCT_CCI) within 2 Years Required.
