$22.50 – $28.00 per hour, based on experience.

Responsibilities

Clinical Responsibilities (95%)

  • Serve as a primary staff member for all day-to-day aspects of preventative health programs, including PDMP and Cardiac Rehab.
  • Complete initial exercise assessments for patients entering the Cardiac Rehab or PDMP Program.
  • Participate in a team approach to develop individualized plans of care with healthcare professionals.
  • Orient participants to exercise programs, demonstrating correct body mechanics and safe equipment use.
  • Develop individualized exercise programs and health plans for participants to follow outside of the program.
  • Provide educational programs for participants.
  • Calculate exercise prescriptions based on graded exercise tests (GXT) and update them per patient response.

Additional Responsibilities (5%)

  • Complete annual education requirements.
  • Participate in community benefit activities, including Mended Hearts, Better Breathers, Rose Walk, and Pulmonary Fair.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Health, Physical Education, Exercise Physiology, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • CPR certification required at date of hire; ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire.
  • Arrhythmia training required within 6 months of hire.
  • Six months of experience with exercise testing, exercise prescription, and consultation in a cardiovascular clinical area.
