Position Highlights

Position: Exercise Physiologist
Location: Highland Park
Hours: 40 hours per week, Department is open 6:30a-5:30p
Schedule: M-F, 4 days per week (3-10.5 hours and 1-8.5 hours), Day off TBD (and may fluctuate). No weekends or holidays

What You Will Need

• Education: Bachelor of Science degree in an exercise science or a related field (e.g. Kinesiology or Physical Education). Emphasis in exercise physiology preferred.
  No previous experience required but preferred.
• Certifications: Current CPR Certification issued by either American Heart Association or Red Cross
  ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification (within 6 months of hire)

What You Will Do

• Develops, organizes and conducts individualized exercise programs for cardiac patients to improve cardiovascular fitness and encourage home-based exercise continuation.
• Develops exercise programs based on participants' needs, arranges logistics of classes, conducts programs and classes, monitors participant during programs, and provides participants with educational material.
