Job Summary

The Exercise Physiologist evaluates cardiac patients, plans and implements a cardiac rehabilitation program. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Physiology or related field from an accredited college or university
• Preferred Education: Not specified
• Minimum Experience: 12 week internship in cardiac rehabilitation
• Preferred Experience: 1-2 years experience with exercise prescription in a clinical setting
• Required Certifications/Licensure: None specified
• Preferred Certifications/Licensure: American College of Sports Medicine – Clinical Exercise Physiologist
• Required Courses/Completions: Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA); however, must have AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire. AHA ACLS must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role.
